WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU CONTACT AGCFirstly, you will need an employer willing to employ you under the traineeship program. Next, the employer and trainee will sign a ‘training contract’, which is to be approved by AASN and the State/Territory Training Authority. Then it’s time to nominate Acacia as your training provider of choice. From here, AGC will accept the training plan proposal if suitable, based on trainer availability and location of workplace.
WHAT ARE TRAINEESHIPS?
Apprenticeships and traineeships combine work-based training with an employer and formal training from a training provider. They are established under training contracts between the employer and the apprentice or trainee and are regulated by government. They’re a great way to be paid for work, learn and earn a qualification.
