Course Information

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. It is likely that these individuals are establishing their own work performance.

Individuals in these roles carry out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require technology and business skills. They apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment, and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

Overview

This qualification will be delivered over 52 weeks, including:

  • 40 weeks of training and assessment
  • 4 terms of 10 weeks each
  • 12 weeks of holidays

This program is delivered in mixed mode:

  • 14 hours classroom learning
  • 6 hours structured self-study

Domestic Students

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have completed Year 12 or equivalent
Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN)

Must possess sufficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to:

  • Read course materials
  • Participate in discussions and roleplays
  • Apply numerical concepts such as time management

International Students

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have completed Year 12 or equivalent
  • English proficiency requirements:
    IELTS: 5.5
    TOEFL: 46
    PTE: 42
    CAE: 47
    OET: Pass

    Equivalent English test results may also be accepted.

Potential employment opportunities exist across a range of business roles and industry areas.

Students who complete this qualification may continue into:

  • BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business
  • Other Certificate IV qualifications

Students may apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge, and experience through:

  • Credit Transfer (CT)
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of existing qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience may reduce course duration and course fees.
